Since 2015, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times photographer Josh Haner has worked across the globe documenting the pressing and wide-ranging realities of climate change. In dramatic drone footage and still photography from the ground, he explores the consequences faced by a warming world, illustrating how diverse environments are broadly impacted and reshaped while bringing to light the intimate and sobering stories that unfold within them. From chronicling communities disappearing alongside the surroundings that once sustained them, to natural ecosystems on the brink of crisis, to vanishing sites of irreplaceable cultural history, Haner weaves an intricate visual narrative of the ultimate legacy of climate change: the loss of our planet’s vast heritage.
The exhibition will be on display in Summerhall’s Corner Gallery from July 25th 2019.
