Scottish Women Can Paint is an exhibition of some of the most important women painters of the late 20th and early 21st century still alive and painting today. Curated by Andrew Brown, many of these artists were shown at his 369 Gallery in Edinburgh.
They include Carole Gibbons, Joyce W Cairns, Lys Hansen, Shelia Mullen, Margaret Hunter, June Redfern and Fionna Carlisle. The exhibition is part of a project supported by Creative Scotland and Beyond Borders Scotland and will also include a series of interviews with these artists about their work and lives.
The exhibition also includes works of past women artists including Anne Redpath, Joan Eardley and Caroline McNairn.
