John Curtice was born in Cornwall and is currently Professor of Politics at the University of Strathclyde and Senior Research Fellow at NatCen Social Research. He is also a chief commentator at whatukthinks.org/eu. He studied at Magdalen College, Oxford and Nuffield College. He currently is the President of the British Polling Council and the vice-chair of the Econommic and Social Data Service’s Advisory Committee. He is an elected Fellow of the British Academy for Humanities and Social Sciences. He has written 6 books, and currently takes an interest in the Scottish independence debate.
